Our Summer Missions Training Program for Young adults is organized by CBI Japan & Calvary Chapel Ginowan in Okinawa. We create missions focused summer programs for Young Adults from all over the world to come serve in Okinawa Japan, where we teach missions principles, practical service and have lots of fun exploring and creating Christian fellowship culture.

SUMMER OF SERVICE in OKINAWA, JAPAN

​JUNE 9TH - JULY 4TH, 2025

Our Japanese Summer of Service (open for international & Japanese attendees) will take place in Okinawa, Japan. Come join us for our missions focused summer program on the beautiful tropical island of Okinawa! Experience life on the mission field for a month, serve alongside Japanese locals and Internationals and grow in your personal relationship with Jesus.

What is SOS Japan about?

We learn about ministry principles, do practical service at our church Calvary Chapel Ginowan, go evangelizing, have lots of fun exploring the island and experience Christian fellowship culture. You will live in the CBI Japan dormitories with other young adults and missionaries, take classes to learn Japanese and how to share the Gospel. Be inspired to grow closer to Jesus and do ministry alongside local believers.

In this intensive course you don't just learn about full time missions, you live it. We have great reputation among other churches and campuses to be ministry-minded and to truly equip our students for life and service. You will experience the Japanese culture, meet Japanese and international Christians and you will have the opportunity to be a part of sharing the Gospel in an unreached country. We hold all our programs in English and Japanese and there is always help with the language barrier through our bilingual staff. Japan is a very safe country and the Dollar-Yen rate is incredibly good for foreigners (good news for visitors!). You will not need to apply for a visa or any landing permission if you come from the States or Europe and can simply live with us on a visitor permit.

What are the costs to attend SOS Japan?

Foreign Students: 1,500 Dollars (not including airfare)
Locals: 223,000Yen (not including airfare)
Locals are all who live in Japan as Natives or with a visa.​
To apply, please submit a completed application and a two reference forms (1 from a pastor, 1 from a Christian friend) to our Summer Program director Pastor Jona Flores.
