Earning a degree
As an affiliate campus of Calvary Bible Institute Joshua Springs, California, we welcome students to study with us and to transfer their earned credits toward a degree at the main campus. Earned credits are transferable among other worldwide CBI affiliate campuses and certain accredited colleges and universities.
Starting your studies with a semester here at CBI Japan automatically gives you the opportunity to continue with your schooling at the main campus.

OUR EMPHASIS
CBI Japan emphasizes the Word of God, Pastoral, Missionary, and Christian Leadership Training. As a campus that is located on the mission field, it is our vision to train up men and women to be servant leaders in active ministry all over the world.
AFTER YOU GRADUATE
TRANSFERRING CREDITS
Students have many opportunities to build on their biblical education and pursue further study beyond CBI Japan at accredited Christian colleges associated to Calvary Chapel including: Horizon University and Calvary Chapel University. Although CBI is not accredited, both Horizon University and Calvary Chapel University are accredited colleges that accept our credits in transfer toward their degree programs.
Japanese and foreign locals will also receive an official Certificate of Completion. Many Japanese ministries and churches have accepted these certificates and are useful in acquiring a Japanese Missionary Visa.

Courses
All classes offered are in accordance with the main campus’ accredited Biblical Studies program. Every semester we offer a full curriculum. Among the core classes, we also offer the following classes:
Missions, History of Redemption, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Preaching, Apologetics
LANGUAGE STUDIES
CBI Japan offers courses in English and Japanese. Some classes are translated side by side while others are taught in one language only. Many students enjoy our bilingual courses and some have honed their understanding of the other language to the point of proficiency within two years of study.
All students who come to study with us from overseas are required to take a Japanese class that teaches basic language skills, understanding of the culture and ministry in Japan. Students put what they learn into practice within our Japanese and International congregation at Calvary Chapel Ginowan.

SEMESTER MISSIONS TRIP
Every semester, all Bible College students attending CBI Japan from overseas take a five day missions trip to another Asian country. In the past, students have done outreaches at universities, care homes, and also street witnessing and worship events. In addition students go sightseeing, learn about other Asian cultures and history, and get to try authentic food at local restaurants.
